Your responsibility for content

LinkTranscript extracts publicly available captions from videos. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the rights to use, copy, export, or republish any transcript content you generate. Respect copyright, the original creator's rights, and the platform's terms of service.

No affiliation

LinkTranscript is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Acceptable use

• Do not use the service to infringe intellectual property rights.
• Do not attempt to overload, scrape, or abuse the service.
• Do not use the service for unlawful purposes.

Prompts and third-party AI assistants

LinkTranscript can copy a transcript together with a suggested prompt for you to paste into an AI assistant of your choice. Anything that assistant produces is its output, not ours; it may contain errors or omissions, and you are responsible for reviewing it before relying on or publishing it. Your use of any third-party assistant is governed by that provider's terms.

Advertising

LinkTranscript is free to use and supported by advertising. Ads are served by third-party vendors, including Google, who may use cookies to personalize them as described in our Privacy Policy. Ads are never placed as a condition of getting a transcript, and we do not endorse the products advertised. Clicking an ad takes you to the advertiser's site under their terms.

Fair use of the service

Each transcript costs us a small amount to fetch, so there is a limit on how many transcripts one visitor can request per hour. The limit is well above normal use. Automated or bulk requests may be refused.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Transcript availability depends on the source video's captions and may not always be possible.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LinkTranscript is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service or any content generated through it.

Changes

We may update these terms over time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
